Classes

PILATES

PILATES is a system of mobility and stability exercises that can be done on mat or in standing position, with or without specialized props such as Pilates ball, toning balls, sticks, Pilates ring, flex bands, Pilates arc etc. At Motion we make sure that you can enjoy your Pilates class in a new and exciting way every time. We are using a variety of Pilates props to keep your body and your mind awake in different ways and to challenge your muscles to get you a stronger and more toned body in every class. Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the whole human body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong powerhouse, and improving coordination and balance. REFORMER

Reformer is a piece of resistance exercise equipment designed by Joseph Pilates. It consists of a platform that moves back and forth along a carriage. Resistance is provided by the exerciser's body weight and by springs attached to the carriage and platform. There is probably no piece of Pilates equipment more famous than Reformer, it is the most smooth, quiet and durable machine and for 30 years, the world’s most respected Pilates instructors have used and recommended Reformer. After few sessions expect dramatic changes in your body. It is designed to accommodate a full range of motion which is wonderful for increasing flexibility while Pushing and pulling with legs or arms against the resistance of the springs, carriage, and body weight. It invites the length we want to create in the body, and it trains the body to sustain that length. The reformer provides enough resistance and movement variety to help build strong and long muscles without any bulk. The instability of a rolling carriage with the springs set at different levels of resistance provides all kinds of stability challenges that develop core strength and promote better balance.Enjoy the 60 minutes session and feel the difference.

BARRE

A sexy, energetic, fun workout that fuses fitness techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga that will tone, define and chisel the whole body. The Booty Barre® method is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility with added cardio to burn fat fast. The Booty Barre workout was developed by Tracey Mallet, a former professional dancer, fitness star and master Pilates instructor. An hour long class consists of a dynamic warm up and upper body work followed by 30 minutes at the Barre working in different directions with cardio blasts to keep the heart rate elevated. High energy music will keep you motivated to get in those last few reps! The class concludes with Pilates inspired abdominal and back work, followed by a stretch for flexibility.It is a non-stop series of ballet-style exercises designed to tighten and tone your legs/buttocks. The cuing is clear; the moves are effective & the transitions are seamless.The music is designed to keep you moving through the exercises quickly enough to get your heart rate up, yet slow enough to keep you moving safely. The class moves from one muscle to the next without much rest so the energy of the class stays high and you don’t lose focus!

Change the way you train. TRX suspension training utilizes your body weight in each exercise allowing a level of intensity for any individual beginner to advance. The human body is designed to move in three-dimensional space, utilizing all three planes of movement: sagittal, frontal and transverse. There are many benefits to multi-planar training. Because you work the muscles from different angles, you will recruit more muscle fibers, resulting in increased strength. You will also engage more of the small stabilizing muscles; strengthening them reduces your injury risk and gives you a stronger core. Activities in daily life—playing sports, carrying groceries, running for the bus, or taking care of a house and kids—all happen in 3D. Functional exercises mimic these real-life situations, providing strength that works when you need it most. TRX is a prop that makes you workout in 3 dimensions and that why it is 100% functional. You will be coached through a series of progressive total body workouts that combine dynamic strength, and flexibility exercises, core work, and team cardio drills. TRX will deliver real, measurable results. You will get stronger, build lean muscle, develop a powerful core and increase your metabolism.

Unconventional Step class with the unconventional Antonia to bump up your fitness level. The BOSU ball makes exercise extra challenging.

With a flat platform on one side and a rubber dome on the other, the tool adds an element of instability to your workout, forcing you to use your core to stay steady.

BOSU workout will also improve your strength and balance, which is important for preventing injuries.

Bosu means “BOth Sides Up" and it is a reference to the two ways a BOSU ball can be positioned.
